Today the buzz was all about Keystage 2 (years 3,4,5 & 6) Christmas performance.
” Old Time Music Hall”
Year 4 sang and performed to London Songs such as ‘Lets all go down the Strand’, ‘Don’t dilly dally on the way’, ‘Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner’, ‘Any Old Iron’, and many more…..
It was just delightful.

*** Happy 4th Birthday Siobhan ***
Vonnie celebrated her 4th birthday today. We had a little mini party when Laura and Harry came home from school, then my friend Jo brought her 2 kidlets , Harry and Leah, over and we all sang Happy Birthday and had yummy princess cake!!!
Laura is extremely pleased that Siobhan is getting into ‘girlie’ things now, she just adores the 2 princess dolls she received as well as a plush my little pony….. Though we did happen to add to her dinosaur collection with a new brachiosaurus which she hasn’t let go of!!!!!

Finally, the weekend has arrived. Leading up to christmas, things are typically hectic. School functions, work functions, etc.
This morning I have bought Harry to see Bee Movie while Stace has taken the girls shopping. Later I will be looking for a hire suit for the work xmas party, which for me is about 5 mins from our house.

Early years, year 1 & 2 all performed together today with a wonderful christmas favourite. ‘The Birth of Jesus’… They called it ‘Cock-A-Doodle Christmas’…….
Can you pick Harry???
He was very proud to say he was a KING… Definition – one of the ‘3 wise men’… He has on a crown and robe in very bright pink with gold stars!!!
He sang the whole way through it and I reckon he did a pretty good job remembering all those songs….![]()

School Disco !!! Laurs looked amazing in new dress chosen for her by Sean at ‘GAP’.
Harry is in Keystage 1 and had his disco earlier in the afternoon and took off too quick for me to get a snap of him looking absolutely dapper… He came home none too pleased that his friend Jesse had danced with more girls than him!!! I guess I can understand that.
Laura on the other hand came home all dreamy-eyed as she had been kissed on the forehead by the cutest boy in her class!!! Not sure if we approve of this, kids are growing up way too fast…..

What’s been happening in the Williams household you may ask??
Plenty -
Today, Sunday, I took Harry and Laura for coffee and cake at Maidenhead. Siobhan wasn’t feeling well so she stayed at home with Stace. After the treat, I thought it would be cool for a quick drive…well it would have been if I didn’t take the wrong turn
suddenly we were going towards Birmingham (bugger) and no exit in site. Harry whinging in the back (when are we going to be home, this is taking too long) didn’t help!!.
After spotting the first exit, it was time to backtrack and find our way home as I hadn’t bought the Tom Tom with us..Due to Harry’s cold and the fact that the football game had been cancelled and there was only training, we decided that he should not go until next week.
Yesterday, we had a lazy day inside – I have been up every night this week to at least 1-2am, trying to re-adjust to the timezone after the San Francisco trip.
Thinking about Christmas, I went and reserved the Turkey – at £40 – it would want to be gold lined
. We (Stacey and I) were talking about how we wont have the Webber to cook it in, but the oven here is quite good and i’ll cook it in that with a stack of veggies and nice sauce. Should be good given that it will be freezing!
On the way home, i ducked into the local – The Red Lion - and had my usual Beer and Burger combo..perfect.

Hello, my name is Terri Dactal..(Harry hates this), according to Haza his name is Alex. This was taken on the 1st day of the school holidays at the Natural History Museum . I had promised to take him back again after the first trip was ended quickly on account of Siobhan being freaked out by the robotic dinosaur, so this time was just a boys day out.
I was already being tested on the train ride in, which took longer than i had expected and was quite shocked to see that despite being the first day of holidays, the train arrived at the station with just 4 carriages!
All I heard on the way in was Dinosaur this, dinosaur that, but when we got there ~ his mind was quickly occupied with viewing some of the exhibits that we hadn’t seen previously..unfortunately, bye the time we had finished that circuit and returned to the main exhibit, viz. Dinosaur exhibit, the queue was looking at about 2 hours to get in…it was time for quick thinking and before he could even complain I had him in the shop where he went strait to Terri (aka. Alex)…cool £10 later we were out of the museum on the way to a coffee shop for dad to calm his nerves.
Dad survives a trip to London with Harry ![]()

I think Harry could have spend the entire afternoon on the go-karts. This was one of his favourite activities of the day at Odds Farm.
We also had a nice afternoon out yesterday. Burnham Park holds a ‘picnic in the park’ day twice during the summer holidays, we missed the first one but made the 2nd one yesterday. It is a real community based get together where you bring the picnic and local businesses bring the entertainment. There is bouncy castles, face painting, balloon making, magic shows, tea/coffee and cakes available for small donation, and of course the park is big enough to kick balls around.
The football spirit is huge here, bigger than I would have thought especially with the young kids around Harrys age. I thought Harry was going to look ridiculous as he insisted on wearing his football getup including knee high red socks (I drew the line at footy boots, he had to make do with trainers) but once we arrived at park there were more boys wearing the football gear than not so he actually fit right in!!!
I was disappointed that I forgot the camera today so no pics of picnic in the park ![]()
Then the walk home was almost as much fun as what was had in the park as it poured down with rain and the kids had an absolute ball getting soaked through. They weren’t so happy when I made them strip off to their underwear at the front door lol hehehe..
